Thanks so much, Katy! Even in my ignorance, I knew I was getting a deal Your friendliness, manner, and willing to answer all questions made me feel comfortable from the start. I never had any qualms about doing business with someone I had never met or seen. I know we'll continue to talk, but, in case I forget, olease keep me in the loop when you get those machines from the collector you mentioned. I'm curious and I have the bug. Who knows, I may become a collector as well.
One more thing, Miss BB is solid. Can't believe how well made/put together she is. I now have a piece of art as well as a piece of history. There aren't many products on the market today that are 85+ years old and still prove to be a workhorse.

Hi Katy!

She came out of the box a dream to crank. I got the ribbing going the first day… then we got busy on the farm and

it’s been tricky finding time to play. I haven’t done heels yet so that’s the next thing. I have our fibe
r guild Christmas Party tonight and then I’ll be free to pop the video in again and figure this out.
It’ll be so goodwhen I finally have a few favorite sock formula’s down.

I have played with some different yarns and am learning a little about that, when will I know it’s time
to get the larger size needles for bigger yarn vs it just being me learning… I must admit, I haven’t wanted
to do anything drastic to the tension setting since it was working so well when I started .
Maybe it’s time for a little learning adventure.

I purchased a refurbished sock machine from Katy, and could not be more
pleased with my machine and with Katy's follow up support. I knew nothing
about how to run a sock machine when I made my purchase, and I live over
1500 miles from Iowa, so I was a little nervous! The machine arrived on
schedule and with Katy's prompt help on-line, and plenty of practice on my
end, my machine is now knitting beautifully! Katy has supported me

I received my Legare 400 yesterday after much anxiety and stalking of the DHL carrier, I practically snatched the 30+ lb. box out of his hand and hugged it tightly until he forced me to sign for the package. I purchased my machine from Katy at Legacy Farms and I have to say, Katy has been amazing! I'm sure I've run her ragged with questions and emails and emails and questions, but she managed to hang in there with me somehow. She sent me a couple of DVDs early in my decision-making process to help educate me on various machines. Once I decided on the Legare 400, Katy continued to stay in touch almost daily. And, with temps reaching below zero in Iowa she miraculously managed to get out to her workshop and get my machine ready for me in no time. When it arrived there were a number of surprises - a DVD slideshow of my Legare's before and after photos, a wide assortment of CSM videos and info on disc, documents, etc. and a special thank you gift. After viewing the Legare instruction video and manual numerous times before my CSM arrived, I had no problems putting it together. I chose to make the Legare my first CSM because I wanted something solid and sturdy that could take a beating. I'm absolutely in love with it. Only 24hrs after receiving it and I'm already making tubes! And by the way, my CSM is officially christened, Miss Maybelle.

I purchased a CSM from Katy without ever having used one before. The first thing I noticed was the impressive
packing job. My machine came with everything I needed to get started, along with a ton of information, patterns
and videos to help me along the way. I have been asking so many questions and she has led me step by step
through each issue I've had (and there have been many!). I am now at the point where I can make socks and
I'm eager to try and learn new things. Katy is the next best thing to being there.

I purchased my Creelman from Katy a week ago and it took me over half and hour to get all the suran wrap and bubble wrap off. She is an expert packer!!! I think Katy is being modest - her work and her machines are just wonderful - I have one of her incredible machines and it is a real workhorse - it has not balked at any yarn I have put int it - I make a heavy worsted weight sock I felt up for winter Minnesota slippers but it also does the finer weights. Add to this the fact Katy works very hard to make sure you are satisfied and able to make socks on the machines you buy. and you have a winner.

Been very busy here but I managed to get some yarn on the machine. What a difference....
no matter what I put on---- it knits away, happy as can be and NEVER drops a stitch.
I can't believe it, no matter what I tie on, it knits. I put on yarn that used
to choke the other (no name) machines and it knits away.
